What it does
- Converts embedded & linked videos to PPT‑safe H.264/AAC MP4.
- Preserves slide size & placement (relationships only).
- Writes a simple log for non‑technical users.
- Creates MissingMediaReport.txt for unreachable links.
- Drag a video file alone → get a PPT‑safe MP4.
How to use
- Copy your deck to
C:\Temp
(trusted local path). - Drag your .pptx onto PPT ResQ.exe.
- Open the new *_PPT-ResQed.pptx.
- If needed, in PowerPoint go to File → Info → Optimize Media Compatibility.
Troubleshooting
- Linked video missing? See MissingMediaReport.txt and relink using HOW_TO_RELINK.txt / RelinkMedia.bas.
- OneDrive/KFM paths: Test from
C:\Temp
. - Trust Center: Add your folder to Trusted Locations; ensure Protected View is off for local files.
